What happened to me?
Yesterday morning, I applied to run for TalkBoard, and even got an "application successful" response, but my name and bio don't show up on the list.
What happened to me?

According to my interpretation, "yesterday morning" meant 11/2 and she had until 7 PM EST.
Even late morning her time...PST...would have been 2:59 PM EST at the latest.
But I'm just going with the OP's report of the events. We need the HOM's to weigh in from their standpoint.

In any event, and as probably known by all posting here, the time/time zone settings that are reflected when logged into FT are generally a result of the time zone tied to the FT user profile and can be adjusted by adjusting selections under MyFlyertalk>Edit Options.

Yes, I am aware of that, hence why I posted what I posted, then again perhaps it had to do more with the midnight issue that anything else (i.e. I opened the window at 11:59PM and didn;t read it until a few minutes later...

I have asked both members of the technical staff of FlyerTalk, tim and joshua to review the candidate process and both have assured me that the scenario described could not have happened in that there is no record on our servers or activity log to indicate we received an application from Punki. As well, we reviewed the activity of all other candidate applications for this and past elections and have never found that this was any problem in the past. Our brains do sometimes trick us into believing we have done something because we intended to do it. Since the process of these applications are entirely driven by technology with no human intervention in the process and there is no tail for any type of error in the server logs, I have no choice but to declare the current list of candidates to be final.
The elections for new members of TalkBoard are held annually so I would certainly invite all active members, including Punki, to look forward to next year when they can enter their hat into the ring.
Thank you.

Well I very most definitely submitted the application on Thursday morning, and very most definintely got a screen that said "Application Successful".
Since there has been an obvious technical glitch, it only seems that that I be allowed to enter this year.

As Spiff has posted:
The official deadline for candidates to file has passed, but if there are any other candidates that have not yet been added to the list, the nice folks at WebFlyer will add them in the location above.

I merely posted that information in the event that someone had filed close to the deadline but for some reason was not on the list AND that the nice folks at WebFlyer deemed that they were a valid candidate.
Randy has made his ruling. I have nothing to do with that.

Punki, you must be confusing this with some other Bulletin Board, or even your interaction with Yahoo groups..... and Punki, Spiff is good intentioned, but as you know VERY well, he does not have access to the servers or their logs.
