RSS for MyFlyerTalk

Would it be possible, if it isn't already, for an RSS feed to be created for MyFlyerTalk? I don't know enough about the way Firefox, for instance, does Live Bookmarks, to know whether it could use the cookie information to grab the login credentials and use that to give the personalized RSS feed. If so this would be a cool feature.

Click on "quick links" in the top of the forum you are reading, then in the bottom you'll see what you are looking for.

Oh; and it isn't possible to pass credentials on to an RSS feed, but you can read the Flyertalk WAP version which does let you login to your own FT.

Currently I don't believe that there is an RSS feed for the MyFlyerTalk area, no. One way to get around this though would be to get the RSS feeds for each of the forums you have in MyFT .

I actually use more RSS feeds than the forums I subscribe to in My FlyerTalk. I'm not interested in the Subscribed Forums but the New Subscribed Threads.

In Firefox I currently have in my Bookmark Toolbar:
Live Bookmark (LB) with FT Mileage Runs
Folder which contains:
* FT El Al LB
* FT Middle East LB
* FT AAdvantage LB
* FT Hyat GP LB
* FT Hilton HHonors LB
* FT SPG LB
* FT Amex LB
* FT Asian Airlines LB
* My Flyertalk POFSB <- Plain Old Fashion Static Bookmark

There are three challenges with this setup:
1) When an old thread comes back to life it doesn't show up in the RSS feed.
2) I don't have a Live Bookmark that tells me which of the 303 threads (I know, I'm a lightweight compared to you old geezers) I'm subscribed to has new posts in it.
3) I should have My FlyerTalk set as my homepage and at the top of the list but that is my stupidity.

But from what I've read above it sounds like technologically it isn't possible to have the RSS query include information that would enable personalizing the RSS feed to someone's specific My FlyerTalk New Subscribed Threads.

Oh and since I'm already in this thread perhaps there could be a link at the bottom of the RSS thread to the forum itself in case I want to quickly get to the forum to run a Forum Search?

I'm renewing this topic because I see that LinkedIn is giving me a personalized RSS feed. I only see updates that are relevant to my network there. Perhaps FT can consider this again?
