Who is allowed to close a posting?And can he do it without a reason?

Only a moderator or technical team member can close a post.....

If a post is closed, it was most likely closed for a reason.

You can certainly email the mods of that forum to find out why... they might be willing to share with you why.... also understand that some posts may have been edited/deleted which was why it was closed.

Understand that many of the mods were in San Francisco for a MOD event... and not every message gets answered immediately...
