Full CPU load when reading threads

On random occasions, when I read a thread (it doesn't matter whether I'm logged in or not), my CPU will go into full load (100%) and there is no way to stop it. If I load another page on flyertalk, or hit the reload button, chances are about 30% that it stops, 70% that it continues. There doesn't seem to be any correlation between which forum I'm in, whether I'm looking at a thread or any forum overview etc. Also I'm positive that it is FlyerTalk.com causing this.
This has been happening more and more in the last couple of weeks...
I'm using WinXP and Firefox.
Anybody else has this problem?

Thanks
David
