There has been some discussion on this over in the tech forum, but I agree, it does seem to have gotten much worse lately. I don't know if the web-hosting service is having problems or they have just loaded on so-o-o-o many pop-ups, pop-unders, flash-ads and so forth that the system just can't keep up. It is a bit frustrating.

Cheap marketing trick

It's a plot to get us all to pay the $12 to ditch the ads... in my case, it almost worked, until I discovered this thread.

If somebody posts who's paid the $12 and the site whizzes, then I'm in.

Buehler? Buehler?

I paid the $12 and it's slower than molasses running uphill in January...

Oh oh oh! In before the lock!!

Off-topic for this off-topic thread: does anyone else have the problem that you click on an FT link and you get the header banners (ad plus "Forums" and associated graphics) but the lower part of the page never shows up? You hit "refresh" a few times and then it finally does come.

This happens to me frequently (1 in 10 times?!) on various Windows XP boxes I own.

---

On topic for this off-topic thread: I was about to pony up the $12, but I think I'll wait, based on what's been said here.

I have given Randy a LITTLE money: I bought FT luggage tags (before I realized that I don't fly with luggage).

---

On-topic: as noted in other threads, ua.com is getting faster lately. Now if they would just add a few fundamental features (eg, seating changes) it would be useable! C'mon guys.. you can do it!

I'm on the Premium plan and haven't experienced any slowdowns today or lately. If I log off and visit as a non-Premium guest...that's just as fast for me. Strange that I'm not experiencing any problems (Verizon DSL in California, if that matters).
