Are we able to use images in posts?
I had understood that the ability to insert images into our posts was not enabled. However, today I saw a post that includes an image. Does this mean that the feature is now enabled and we are free to use it?

I just used the edit function (didn't actually edit the post of course) to look at the "source code" for his post.
mshaikun , you indeed appear to be right; the code in the thread is indeed the [IMG] and [/IMG] code with the http url to the image.
Like SkiAdcock, this surprise me too; first time I've seen an image on FT.

Had another idea (tried .jpg images vs .gif) but it did not work either!!!
When I added: [IMG ]http://www.gifs.net/47.jpg[ /IMG] but without the space all I got was a link.
See below.

Somehow however the link seems appropriate!!!

You know...call me naive, but these things called computers and servers and all manner of tech stuff, have been known to hiccup on occasion.
Maybe the person just happen to post during a reset or something...in the few seconds when the system preferences had not yet been fully applied?
Or maybe that image restriction had been inadvertently left off in that one forum?
Who knows? Who cares? Not like the person posted a pix of Jenna Jameson sucking a golf ball down forty feet of garden hose or something.
