What's up with viewing members email?

What's up with viewing members email?
Something is broken and I have a complaint about the new design. First of all, when I go to someones profile I cannot view their email address even if they explicitly allow the address to be viewed. Is the new vcard feature somehow interfering with this?
Second, there is no easy way to send someone an email. We used to click on a single icon and get an address. Now we have to go to their profile which takes a long time, then start another slow screen to get the email address. There should be a one button method to get an email address.
Yes I know about the new private message feature which is nice, but most of us check our email far more often than we check flyertalk.

There is another thread on this issue... you may have missed it.
Randy has made a policy decision to NOT allow people to see email addresses no matter what we choose as our preference.
A number of us have posted to have email viewing reinstated.

Hey if that is Randy's policy I'm fine with not seeing the email address. However we should still be able to send email to a member from within Flyertalk. This is a vital (and I do mean vital) service since email is much more immediate than the local private message service.
