Getting Subscription Emails, But I Never Subscribed

Just an FYI that I'm getting thread posting notifications by email, when in fact I haven't subscribed to any thread (never have, never will either).

I go to my FT Control Panel and it says I have no subscriptions. How do I shoot this monkey?

I ended up with one thread subscribed from the other day. I have the email notification off by default. What I noticed this morning is that unless the thread has a *new* post in it (new since the last time I signed in) it doesn't show up on the main page of MyFT. You have to click on "All Subscribed Threads", click the little box on the right of each one, then delete to remove the subscriptions.

As for not suscribing to threads, it seems that my default is "no email notification", which as I just noticed right now at the bottom of this edit post page is *not* the same as "do not subscribe". If you go to the Edit Options page of MyFT, you can set the default to "do not subscribe", then it will stop subscribing you automatically to every thread you reply to.

Aaah! Thanks! I thought I had just about everything turned off (I want just the very basics please) and assumed "Do Not Subscribe" meant that. I've switched to "No Email Notification" and hopefully that will stop everything.

Ack, no, "Do not subscribe" is what you want. I think my rambling post kinda muddled that a bit.... If you are set on "Do not subscribe" as default, I don't know how you are getting subscription stuff, unless you happened to make a few posts before you changed your setting to "Do not subscribe" originally.

Okay...I'll go back and change to "Do Not Subscribe." Thanks!

This new web site with all the graphics and logos and icons is starting to give me a headache. All I want are the words man! I don't care about all the flowery pretty lights. It was so much nicer with just 'bulb on, bulb off'.

Now I got envelopes of different colors and arrows and open and close and exclamation points in yellow yield signs and green boxes with reputations and an extra click just to get to the airline and hotel forums.....jeeze. Gonna need a FlyerTalk sherpa to find my way around just to make a bloody post!!
