UK Online Safety Act - impact on FT?
There has been an uptick in forums that are either based in the UK or which cater to a large UK audience announcing measures (up to and including closure of their forums) in response to the UK's Online Safety Act, which comes into effect in March. https://www.ofcom.org.uk/online-safe...es-into-force/
The scope of the legislation includes "services with a significant number of UK users, or targeting the UK market, are covered by the new rules, regardless of where they are based."
What is FT doing to prepare for the legislation coming into force and how will this impact the board?

This should have minimal impact on FlyerTalk (FT), as our esteemed moderators are already preventing the specified illegal harms such as terror, hate, fraud, child sexual abuse and assisting or encouraging suicide. Here on FT, any such posts would be removed posthaste.
