As indicated in this thread, somehow when a post or reply contains a List (unnumbered | numbered), the forum software transforms the 'one list, multiple elements' into a 'multiple lists, one element' nested within the first element of the first list.
I entered the list of beers as one list. When I clicked 'preview', the resultant screen showed my list formatted as seen in this response.
My workaround was to take my original post, composed offline, paste it into the text box, and Submit. Then, it appeared correctly.
But when kipper referred in my post to reply, it caught the list malady.
People here on FT should know about the source button in the upper portion of the reply box | Wiki. Clicking on that will reveal the raw BB Code of the content.
(I know several hexidecimal colors out the back of my head. So changing the text color is easy for me. But this is also how somebody would have to modify his | her forum response if it sprouted something similarly perplexing.)
I mentioned the workaround. Is there something else I | we can do? (Do we need to put the "[/*]" after each item in the list?)

Without posting, I composed a reply to your post with the list. I clicked the Source button (that was news to me; thank you) and deleted the extra List and List End tags, then previewed the result. It looked correct. While a nuisance, this would be the simplest solution for me until the forum software gets fixed.
