It appears that if I search for a term and a poster, I get all threads that contain the term or the poster. If this is not the correct behavior, any idea what I'm doing wrong? If this is the correct behavior, is there a way to search for a term in a post by a specific individual?

Could you please PM me the term/user, unless you are comfortable posting them here? I tired "hilton/serpens" but all I got was posts by you about Hilton (what I believe you're trying to get about the other user and search term)

from my prior experience it appears that “/“ as the separator between keywords (as opposed to the more intuitive “,” or “;” or “ “) is the ticket

Sure, I'll post it here. In the advanced search box (accessed from the global Search, not Search this Thread), I put "refundable" as the search term and "serpens" as the poster. I got about 12 pages of hits; without further investigation, I assumed the search had been for posts containing the word refundable or posts by serpens.

I just tried again and got what I had expected and hoped for (and found the discussion that I wanted to see), apparently analogous to your results. To the best of my knowledge, I performed the same search both times, but maybe I fouled something on the first attempt.

I tried "refundable/serpens" from both the global Search and Search this Thread and got no results. Since I had already found the post I was seeking, I tried two terms in that post separated by "/" and again got no results. (This was in the Search this Thread field rather than the global Search field.) I assume I'm doing something wrong.

I am trying to perform a simple keyword search using Search This Thread using a keyword that I know exists but the search returns no matches. Here’s the thread and keyword (warning it’s in Omni/PR)
