Can't access FlyerTalk from VPN - "Access Blocked"
When I tried to access flyertalk from a Sydney VPN gateway the message that came back was: "Access denied - What happened? The owner of this website (flyertalk) has banned the autonomous system number (ASN) your IP address is in (16276) from accessing this website." I switched to Melbourne gateway >> end of problem. When I tried to access the East Coast Car Rentals website yesterday via a Melbourne VPN gateway I was blocked and had to switch to Sydney. Internet walls are going up - fortunately there are still some gaps.

"AS16276" is a network block owned by "OVH", a cloud provider. Perhaps for whatever reason (SPAM, DDos, attacks) the ISP for FT (in this case, a front-end, Cloudflare) has blacklisted the netblock of the exit node your VPN is using. If that's the case, there's little you can do about it except change VPN providers (or sometimes, just wait).

Fixing that OVH (AS16276) choose to host a number customers of dubious nature that result in the reputation of their IP Addresses being well known to be poor - I doubt that FT are going to do anything about that.
Otherwise there is more debate and discussion about VPNs being blacklisted in the thread of the same name. I have posted in that thread my thoughts several times on the merits of using public VPN services for general internet browsing.
