Deleted posts reflected in my FlyerTalk profile

I see this in my notifications screen:

Can someone clarify what "Deleted posts" means? Is it that one of my posts has been deleted, or that someone quoted my post and their post was deleted?

And, particularly if the former, how can I find out if one of my posts has been deleted?

It looks as though that was a post that quoted you that was deleted. I'm not seeing any posts that you made today that were deleted.

Can I confirm my understanding that no notifications are given when someone deletes one of my posts, to the extent that it's as if it never existed? If so, I find this really unhelpful - how can I avoid wasting my and your time composing posts which you will simply delete if I don't know why (or even that) you have done so?

Well, as always, the best way to ensure your posts are in the clear is easy: just follow the rules.

Moderators can now send a PM to let you know why a post has been deleted, but this is at their discretion and honestly we've only implemented this feature in the past couple weeks. So some of your posts may have been deleted prior to the feature being added.

Thanks - I would certainly appreciate a PM when posts are deleted.

Since the question has received an answer, we'll close this.
