For lengthier reports you don’t want to lose work on, writing with (your favorite word or notes processor), or use the FT Preview utility. But use the latter only if you’re planning to finish in one session.

I decided to try out different editor options to see what they offered ... the one I'm using as I write this:

Has been periodically displaying "Auto-Saved" in the lower-right corner of the editor window as I type. When I back out without posting then start a new post I see, in the lower left corner of the editor window:

So it looks like a "draft" option is available, but only for the last post created/edited. Given the number of times I've had an in-process post disappear due to a network or server disruption (or, um, PEBCAK), this is a very much appreciated feature!
