Opening Links from the landing page

Opening Links from the landing page
My apologies if this has been dealt with before.
When I open the landing page and click on one of the articles on that page, say, from the banner on top listing the five stories for the day, I can open the page in a new Tab, as per in the past. But, in the newly opened Tab, all I get is the Toolbar on top of the page, with an advert below it and the rest of the page is blank. If I refresh the page, the story will pop up for a second, then it disappears.
Firefox did have an update recently, so not sure if that is an issue.
Other links, such as subscribed posts or going to any of the forums does not have this issue - they open normally, so no issues there.
Any sage advice will be most welcomed.

Thanks - it seems that a VPN that I occasionally use had an Ad Blocker updated, but that still did not stop ads from appearing??? Anyway, it now works, Thank You so much.
