I know that after the https switch there will be bumps that will smooth out eventually on the site.
Please keep me updated if this behavior reverts and always do try to make sure https links are used and browser info is nuked when trying to fix the issue.

My scenario is the same as pandaperth, except I was always using the https links in my attempts.
Even after refreshing the page, the posts were still not marked as read.
Tonight though, it seems to be working again.
Edit: I closed that browser tab. A few hours later, I opened a new one and came to FT again. Now it's not working again.

I know you asked this of goalie, but I can tell you my experience, which is
- I click on the "mark this forum read" pulldown from the forum tools item on the ribbon
- The forum tools options disappear
- And nothing happens to the "unread' threads on screen, as you know their thread titles should change from bold (=unread) to normal (=read)
(I have waited for up to 60secs for the response, in case it was just a comms problem, but...)
Way ahead of you in trying this and still not working

I believe i have identified the problem.
"Mark This Forum Read" does not work when you don't have a "secure" connection, i.e. when the URL does not begin with HTTPS.
When it is just HTTP, this function doesn't work.
So if you are accessing forums from bookmarks, make sure they include the https.

The link I posted IS what I'm using (and have been using for some time) so unless I'm missing something, I am using https and no need to change anything
