Browser question (Chrome and FlyerTalk)

Started using Google Chrome for the first time and having problems with FT locking up and generally running slow. Seemed to work OK on Explorer. Using Windows 7 Professional on 64 bit OS. Can go back to Explorer obviously but just curious what others have experienced.

Chrome works fine for me, and generally performs better than my previously preferred browser, Firefox. I've only ever used IE as a last resort.

Over the years, Chrome has been my optimal browser to use for browsing FlyerTalk, whether on Windows or iOS.

Chrome is a really fast browser, but generally takes a lot of power to run, so if you had a lot of tabs or applications open, it may have slowed it down.

Echo what IBJoel wrote.

I've seen this when i've had several tabs open, particularly if they're heavy on graphics/multi-media, etc. Also the same with a ton of extensions which might be active.

Interesting this may be the issue. I do run multiple graphic programs and have some programs run through Explorer and Chrome as well. I will try just running chrome with only one tap open and close all other programs and see what happens. Contrary to what many say I have been having trouble with Chrome (new user however) and have found Explorer to be faster and more stable on my system.

Here is the error I get with FT on Chrome. Basically states "could not open FT due to lack of memory". I am running with 16 GB of RAM so I would think that is fairly massive these days. I may try reloading Chrome onto the system as well. FWIW, while FT seems particularly problematic other sites seem to be slow as well. I may ultimately just go back to just using Explorer which for me is fine 90% of the time.

If you're not running several graphics intensive tabs, as IBJoel discussed, I'd see what else is running in the background, and I'd probably delete Chrome and download - install de novo again.

I've used several browsers on different operating systems and have generally found Chrome superior to I. E.
