FT member post count mistake?

The OP in this thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trave...-12pm-pdt.html is listed as having 101 posts and a member join date within the last few days, but a search for posts for that FT member account shows only 1 post.

Is this a technical glitch? If not, what explains the search not pulling up more than 1 post by that FT member account?

The 100 other posts could possibly be in a hidden forum that you (and I) do not have access to, which would not turn up in a search.

Good question. I actually added 100 posts to avoid any of the "newbie poster" restrictions. When the DOT comes in tomorrow I want to minimize the chances of any glitches.

It sounds more like the post count got manually adjusted, as I would normally expect for this, rather than there actually being 101 posts put up by the US DOT member handle. That is when the answer is that this is not a glitch.

Post counts can be adjusted upward or downward, in rare cases. In this instance, it allowed the USDOT rep to join us tomorrow without having the initial posts sent to the moderation queue for approval.
