I'm aware that every post has the red '!' that allows it to be reported to a mod.
However, I assume that's for inappropriate content. If for example I'd like a mod to merge a couple of threads to ease access to info, how do I find out a mod for a particular forum.
E.G. The Etihad airlines forum. I don't see how I find who is/are the mod/s for that forum, as it's a forum that doesn't have regular mod activity AFAIK.

You're correct that the EY forum doesn't have a specific moderator, so in cases such as what you propose, the job falls to one of the four Senior Moderators - Moderator2, Ocn Vw 1K, oliver2002, and Prospero. So when you hit the alert button (which is not just for inappropriate content, but also "housekeeping" issues like merging), I believe the alert will go to all four of those senior mods and one of them should hopefully be able to help with the merge.
Many forums do not have dedicated moderators

The green light shows who is on line now
"Control F" then text of what you want to find will find the forum moderator (if any)

Bolding mine: Just a data point that the option to show if you are on-line (green light) is an option which can be turned on or off by any user via their user profile (edit options-> use invisible mode) and if tuned on, it will show a red light (I'm on-line right now but I show a red light)Originally Posted by Mwenenzi

I rarely report bad posts, but use the button quite often to alert a mod re: merging threads/housekeeping items. If there is a mod of the forum s/he will get the message. If not, then the sr. mods receive it.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Moderators are volunteers and have a life outside of FT: work, eat, sleep, family, etc. Some even spend time in metal tubes way up in the sky
. Some can be off line for days a time. And may be in a different time zone from you.
