Incorrect links in thread headers

I just noticed something that seems to be more recent than the March update.

At the top of each page in a thread is a miniature directory tree showing the thread's position in the forum hierarchy, e.g.,
FlyerTalk Forums > Support&Services > Technical Support and Feedback
> Post "echoes" repeatedly appear temporarily in thread
I've noticed that the thread title doesn't link to itself (as it should, and as I'm pretty sure it used to), but instead to http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/

This isn't the end of the world, but there are occasions when it's useful to have that link point to the first page in the thread.

FWIW, I've checked across multiple fora/threads & this seems to be widespread. Am I just imagining that it used to be different?

I've noticed this as well. It used to be different, as you noticed; clicking on the thread used to lead to the thread, not the forum list.

Appears to be fixed? I'm now taken to the thread instead of to the forum list.

And this morning, not fixed for me either. Weirdly, doesn't work in this forum, works in TalkBoard Topics for me.

This problem still seems to be happening for me as well.

Also - is there a reason for the ellipses at the end of the thread title? For example, on this thread it says "> Incorrect links in thread headers ..." - why is the ellipses there at the end?

There is also an ellipses in each forum list, for example "> Information Desk ..."

Thread title will not link. You are IN the thread, why do you need a link to it?

Regarding the *forum* title, which until today would link to the FT home page and now properly links to the forum directory.

As explained in the OP, it's useful to have a direct link to the base page (that is, first page) of the thread--because while I'm in the thread, I'm typically not on the first page. If I need to copy that link, it's easier to grab it from the header than by having to mouse over to the much smaller link in the thread-page navbar.

But most obviously, this is how things used to be. Then that useful feature was removed for no apparent reason.

The software is new, and I have to assume this change was made for a reason; but I will continue to see if the end of the breadcrumb -- the thread title -- can be linked to itself.
