Question: Accounts Closed for Inactivity?

To anybody from the technical staff...
<did a search, didn't find anything conclusive>

I'm going to be gone for at least a few months. Does my account stay active, or is it deleted after a set period of no logins (like Hotmail and other web mail services do)?
Or when the new board software comes online, is everybody going to need to re-register anyway?

Just curious whether there was any sort of auto-expiration.

Thanks...

No and no. We have pulled members in the past, but those were members that had registered years ago and never posted. But no, you shouldn't have to worry about an auto-expiration like Hotmail does.

And members won't have to re-register when the new board comes on line. Their accounts will be ported over.

Beautiful, thanks I thought I remembered Randy saying that accounts didn't expire, but I wasn't so sure whether the porting could be done easily to the new board software, not being much on the technical side of things.
