I still can only see my initial poast; can't see a single response. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be? This has never happened before, regardless of whether I've started the thread or someone else did. tls

I have that problem when I visit internet cafes in Europe, and usually end up switching terminals. Have you looked at your cache? If you clear it out, you'll probably be able to see the new messages. You may need to change the setting to make the problem go away.

Tom's got the right advice... try clearing out your browser's cache and hold down your Shift key when you reload the page to make sure you're getting the latest version from the server.

Thanks for your responses (which I was only able to read now). Currently I'm using http://www.flyertalk.com/milesfr.shtml
as the URL for flyertalk, and I'm able to read all the responses. Previously I'd been using http://www.flyertalk.com/forumcgi/Ul...assCookie=true

per the recommendation of another thread (from Oct/Nov 2000) in this forum (Technical Issues) because that allowed the exact URL to change with the thread, wheas the former URL did not. Now that I'm using the former again, I can see all the posts, but can't get an exact URL to copy and paste. Sigh ... tls

Look for an option in your browser's menu (under Tools, Settings, Preferences, or a similar option) to clear out temporary internet files/cache. Different browsers have different ways to do it and sometimes refer to it differently.

For IE on WinXP, click "Tools" then "Internet Options" then (under "Temporary Internet Files") click "Delete Files"

For Safari on OSX, click "Safari" then "Empty Cache"

For other browsers, you should refer to its Help files.

What worked for me once was hitting 'CTRL' and "F5" buttons.

Thanks for all the help. I deleted my temporary internet files, and that solved the problem, at least initially. I am now able to see all the posts I couldn't before. However, after one new post, I couldn't see my new post. Who knows whether I'll be able to see this one. What's up? tls
