Computer-inept newbie question: How do I get full urls?
No matter what I do and where I go, the address in my browser is www.flyertalk.com/milesfr.shtml. I want to be able to access the full addresses so that I can copy them into emails as well as posts.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

If you are trying to send someone a link to a post, all you have to do is to right click the link, and select "copy shortcut"
Paste it where you need it, and the correct hyperlink should appear.
I am also assuming you are using internet explorer.
I hope this is what you are looking for.

Yes, Explorer.
I tried to copy the link, but it simply copies as "www.flyertalk.com/milesfr.shtml." This is address in my browser address bar no matter where I go or what I do. I also do not have a "copy shortcut" option, just "copy."

Make sure to click on an actual link, and not just the page, when you right-click. Just clicking in the page doesn't bring up the "Copy Shortcut" or "Open Link in New Window" option.
If you're already in the thread that you want the URL for, you'll need to back out to the thread listing, find that thread, then right-click on it...

Note to Mac users: to get the menu of choices that Window users refer to as "right-clicking," either (a) control-click or (b) hold down the mouse button for a second or two.
Other than that, the advice in previous posts is platform-independent - and correct.

Press "Properties", and a small window opens.
Copy the Address(URL) and past it in your email.
