"New Posts" disappear

Lately (last 10 days or so), whenever I leave a particular forum (e.g. CONTINENTAL), all other forums now show NO "New Posts Since Your Last Visit." This happens when I leave ANY topic, e.g. CO, then look at the Northwest (or any other airline) topic. How can I again get the light bulbs turned back on?? Thanks.

Your cookies may have been erased/corrupted. Try clearing and resetting your cookies for FlyerTalk in the Preferences link:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forumcgi/ub...ction=setprefs

Also, try and use the built-in navigation at the tops and bottoms of FT thread pages, rather than your browser's back/forward buttons, to navigate the site, as browsers have their own ways of handling cached pages.

This problem only happens when they have those **** annoying pop-up ads. The pop-ups seem to reset my cookies to the current time and therefore the new posts show up only for posts posted since the pop-up first appeared. This is really annoying.

There shouldn't be any cross-cookie issues, since the popunders are cookied for tribalfusion.com, and FT cookies as flyertalk.com. FlyerTalk can't access cookies from tribalfusion since they belong to a different domain.

dan and T3, thanks. I first thought T3 had the problem pinned down, but dan answered that. In my situation, I didn't do anything with my cookies or browser settings; two days ago, things went back to "normal"! So, I'm happy again.
