how does "flood control" determine time?
every now & then , i get "flood control activated" wait 1 min ...now, if i have entered 3 or 4 lines, i probably have taken a minute to type + the time to get to the new topic & decide to reply. i used to give up, but now, i wait at least 70 seconds & then resend. sometimes, i get flood again.. & sometimes it takes. i don't do smilies, nasties, & useless wrong forum post builders. any way , this isn't a serious problem, but i'm interested as an academic. i'm sure that it's been 1 min since i posted.

AFAIK it is set for 60 seconds between hitting "submit reply".

my guess is, that it is in the range of 60 to 119,9999 seconds since hitting the submit button.

Well, if you are sure that it's been over a minute, then it can mean only one thing: the server on which FlyerTalk is hosted is travelling at relativistic velocity. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
Why not buy yourself a stopwatch if you want to flood FT? I keep mine set on 60.001 second intervals. FewMiles.. ------------------ [ FlyerTalkers' Resources on the Web ] [ Unofficial Guide to AAdvantage ] [ Unofficial oneworld Info Desk ] |
