Can't Get Search To Work In United

The search feature is working for me in other forums, but not United.

What kind of errors are you receiving? I just tried a search in the United forum, and it came back alright.

Just a 504 time-out "Server Not Reponding". Tried again and got the same. No problem with any other forums I tried.

Here's something else that maybe is related:

When I make a post to any forum, when I get to the confirmation page:
Thanks for posting your message, PremEx! We are now sending you back automatically to this topic.
Please wait while we create the new page ...

Click here if you do not want to wait any longer (or if your browser does not automatically forward you).
It just hangs there for about a minute. The the ad banner shows up displaying:
504 Gateway Timeout
...and then it finally redirects me to the thread.

So maybe there is some problem with the ads that are causing the problem? That they are "holding up" the action somehow?

Maybe your problem is that you're searching for terms such as "improving 1K benefits", "keeping customers from defecting to AA" and "avoiding liquidation"

You are not the only one. I have not been able to use the search in United for about 4 weeks.

Has always worked fine for me and I use it almost every day. (Shame the 200 folks recently starting new threads asking "Are my mies safe?", "what happans to my award tickets?" and "is UA in trouble?" did not also try using "Search" a little more.

I just now typed in "marylou" as the search object word and found:

Topic - Name - Date - Forum/Archive

Will Wal-Mart Honor My Ticket If United Vegetates 03-19-2003 United

future of RCC? 03-21-2003 United

If UA is Liquidated, what happens to Award tickets on others 03-27-2003 United

it, right now, worked for me, but took (with my very fast cable connection) over a minute to get search results.

I made two different searches, both just searching back one day.

Thanks for the info... I've sent your feedback and your screenshot of the error to our ad people to see if there's a particular campaign that's holding things up.

UPDATE: Our ad rep tells me that their tech people are looking into the error.
