Lightbulbs... revisited
OK, I just don't get it. Why can't I ever get lightbulbs on this UBB? I'm used to it by now, but I really would like them. Honestly, I would!
I access FT Miles via http://www.flyertalk.com/forumcgi/Ul...assCookie=true and there is nothing in the "Lightbulb Column"
I access FT Travel via http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...assCookie=true and the same is true.
No lightbulbs.
I have lightbulbs from other UBBs (on 6.05). I'm using IE 5.5.
I think I've tried everything that has been mentioned in the other threads and I am about to give up. Any suggestions (from the basic to the advanced) to help me see the light?
Muchas gracias in advance.

Lightbulbs work just fine for me in FT Miles. I've never had lightbulbs in FT Travel. As a result, I never visit FT Travel a second time in one day; it's too much work to figure out if there are new posts. (The first time I visit in a day, I can pull up all the new threads for the day, so that visit is an easy one.) I'd love to have lightbulbs in FT Travel. Any suggestions?

My experience is exactly the same as SanDiego1K. Light bulbs work fine for me in FT Miles, but never in FT Travel.
chexfan, perhaps try editing your cookies file and zapping all of the webflyer.com- and flyertalk.com-related entries. That might do the trick and restore light bulbs for your FT Miles.

UPDATE: Well, the cookie settings all matched, but I did find some inconsistencies between the boards (minor things) and have updated the threads on Travel, Dining and Airports. Hopefully that won't introduce new problems, but if it does, you know where to post them

Now, this may cause other cookie-related problems, depending on how you browse FT and the navigation you use, but give it a try...

It turned them on all right - they're ALL on !!
For me, whichever forum I visit first gets the correct lightbulbs - but if I go first to Miles and then to Travel, I have either no bulbs or all lit bulbs on the travel forum ...

Dan at WebFlyer, fwiw, the links at the top of each page to FT Miles, Travel, Dining, and Airports (the graphical ones alongside MilesBuzz and TravelBuzz) all have the BypassCookie=true tacked onto to the URL. Perhaps this is responsible for some of the lightbulb problems too?
