Yesterday I was intermittently slow on FT but going fine today. :)

Agree with Kiwi Flyer: fast on all site functions today! Congratulations.

It was stalling again about 2 hours ago, but seems to be fine right now.

I'm running a state of the art G-5 Mac with DSL, 2 Gigs of memory and twin 1 Gig processors. And I've seen very sloooooow processing times over the last few days.....including tonight. Sometimes the pages open quickly but more times than not I find a 20-30 second wait for a page to open.
Something appears to be amiss.
Just an FYI.....

INCREDIBLY slow for me on all forums for past 12 hours or so. :td:

Other sites I visit in same session fly at usual speed.

Definitely a problem with access speed it seems to me?

Kiwi Flyer Dec 13, 2004 3:57 pm

OK for me at the moment.

Edited to add this post took a long time to save. Up til now all FT going usual speed for me.

Very slooooooow this afternoon and evening. Keeps hanging up trying to load the ads.
Taking 20-30 seconds or longer to open a thread.

Also have G-5 Mac with DSL, but not sure of the other state-of-the art stuff. I have noticed some serious lag time this morning.

Forum openings are slow today, as are some of the thread openings.

ozstamps Dec 14, 2004 4:28 pm

No change from here -- still about half normal speed.

Techies - are the current flash banners of unusually large size? That has occured in the past and slowed things down a lot?

drtravix Dec 14, 2004 4:47 pm

Not that it needs to be said again, but I noticed slowness as well... especially on posting or editing.

oontiveros Dec 14, 2004 10:46 pm

Last 3 days forum has been really slow for me. say 20 to 45 sec to open any particular thread.

jkfb1 Dec 15, 2004 12:28 pm

Today it's been awful. Very slow a good 30-45 seconds. The other issue I'm having is double clicking quick links. Seems the mouse jumps around on its own, and it's not my mouse. :td:

Thanks for the feedback -- I see nothing on the servers that would indicate a slowdown, so I'm handing off to the data center to see if there are any network issues they need to resolve.

Thanks,
John

Thanks for looking into it - even when I just bring up the bookmarked forum-specific URL's, it takes 30 seconds to load most of the times I've tried over the last 3 days. Other pages load fine, so it's definitely either a php related issue, mysql related issue, or just a plain 'ol bandwidth issue. Hope it gets figured out!
