  • very very slow
  • every page i open draws blank and i have to keep hitting reload over and over again (and then the thread shows as read without the "read first unread" link"
  • replies are hanging and then drawing a blank page but when i finally am able to get pages to draw again, my reply shows in the thread (tho i am copying my reply just in case it doesn't post)

In other words, the "new norm" on FT. Unfortunate, isn't it? :(

Apparently not.

It has been like this, on and off, for over a year now.
Hey, what's the hurry?

Hmm, really? I read that you said the same thing about the Chat access issues on the "Problems with chat" thread.

Sorry but for me neither of these "top priorities" have resolved themselves despite my loading a new browser. How much longer does a "top priority" take?

IB-Dick - please understand my annoyance is not directed at your personally, but at FT IT(tech) as a whole. I mean, come on, how long does it seriously take to get these things fixed? FT is almost unrecognisable to me these days :(

Please do something to fix the interminable delays and failure to load pages.

Posting here is a chore rather than a pleasure. There is so much I want to post and comment on yet I am lucky to get 2-3 pages loaded before it times out completely.

Much worse when i am actually logged in.:(

Same here. It took 10 minutes to get to this point.

Continual timeouts on FT today :(

cblaisd Dec 29, 2009 8:09 pm

I suppose I could live with it if I knew for sure that virtually every post/thread would take three or four clicks to actually sloooowly open.

But it's the uncertainty that's frustrating....

Sigh.

Sure wish IB knew how fix these problems.

uncertaintraveler Dec 30, 2009 10:27 am

Intermittently getting "wepage cannot display" messages.

  • horrendously slow right now
  • numerous drawing of blank pages and/or "page cannot be displayed" errors
  • posting replies is taking up to 10 minutes but if i open the thread that i am replying to, my reply is there yet the reply i am posting is still trying to post (and still having to copy my reply text just in case it doesn't post)

Even after today’s shutdown for maintenance, the site seems to be taking a longer time to load threads and making a post will generally time out in the active forums. This is really getting frustrating.

It is much worse now than it ever has been for me. It takes a minute or two to load a forum or post.

Worse for me too might as well be down.
