Cannot get into chat!
Applet loaded, gray connect button, no love.

Hmmm... try clearing your browser's cache and rebooting your computer prior to logging in.
Also, if you're using the newest Java machine, provided in the latest IE versions, that may cause problems as well. Here's what DigiChat's tech team told us:
The 1.4 JRE is a new release, and may still have errors that need to be addressed in future revisions. I suggest you tell that user to download and use the 1.3.1_02 plug-in that has been proven to work correctly. http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/jre/download-windows.html
