Missing threads in TAROM?

I don't know what happened but it seems almost all TAROM threads have been disappeared this morning.

Is there something going I don't know about? Some of the funniest threads on FT had been posted there of late.

I think you will find they are in the process of being moved to the GLBT forum that has been created in Travel.

Personally, I find this quite odd... the posts in the TAROM forum had nothing to do with GLBT travel other than the fact that some (and by all means not all) of our posters were GLBT.

So basically, we are moving posts that are slightly off topic in one forum to another forum where they will be off topic as well, and IMHO even MORE off topic since they are all about TAROM.

Could the missing threads your looking for be in the misplaced posts section?

I couldn't agree more. TAROM was in many ways a humorous OMNI, which just happened to feature posts by some members of FT who are gay. We could likely find off topic threads in many other fora that feature gay posters and move those to the new forum.

I can't help but think the TAROM threads could have been left where they were, although since there was, for whatever reason, the perception that TAROM had become the gay forum, I suppose it fits that logic. But it is a shame.

I happen to be straight, so I probably won't visit the GBLT forums much, but I really enjoy(ed?) what was being posted in TAROM. (I was going to apply for a title but hadn't gotten around to it yet - maybe "Procrastinator in Chief?")

Of course the posts had little or nothing to do with the real airline by that name, so perhaps it wasn't the best place in theory, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

Ditto!

And what happened to InnPoints? Did they get branded as Gay topics as well? Did Koko ever get out of Afghanistan? Inquiring minds want to know!

Just another reason why we need fewer, rather than more, forums here on FT.
