How do you clear your cache?

I was in FT chat when IE6 did its illegal operation thing. After rebooting twice, I tried to log into chat but it wouldn't load. It says if you can't get in to reboot and clear your cache. How do you clear your cache?

From a blank IE window, go to:
1. Tools
2. Internet Options
3. Click on 'Delete Files'. Might as well check 'Delete all offline content'

This works better if this IE window is the only one open.

To be really thorough, you can do it manually, but this depends on which OS you are running. The idea is to delete everything (except vital cookies) inside the hidden folder C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 (exemple for W2K and IE 5.5, should be applicable for XP and IE 6 as well).
