Automatic Redirection - to nowhere
Maybe it's just my own problem, but for the last several weeks when I go to FT, I get redirected to a non-existant site. The address is:
http://ad-adex3.flycast.com/server/i...e.cgi;/7081659
Which looks to be some kind of pop-up ad. However, I get the "can't find" screen, and have to do a back to get to the forum main page. This occurs on three different computers (one at work, one at home, and a laptop) all accessing via different internet providers.
Any ideas on what this is? (It's merely a nuisance, but it IS a nuisance)
Thanks,
LeewW

It shouldn't be a popup, that's for sure, but it does look like it's originating from the small banner ad at the top of the page.
1. Does a new page popup with this error, or does the error load within the page you're on?
2. Are you getting this on every thread page on FlyerTalk, or only in certain areas (if so, can you tell me which ones)?
3. Does this happen as soon as you come to FlyerTalk's main page (http://www.flyertalk.com)?
I think that ad code ("http://ad-adex3.flycast.com/...") is from our old ad company, and shouldn't still be on our sites... I'll verify that, though.
In the meantime, could you try clearing out your browser's cache to see if that helps any?

1. It is not a "pop-up", but a redirection. (Like it was trying to send you to another page, except that the page isn't there).
2. Only on the main page (with the forums listed): http://www.flyertalk.com/milesfr.shtml
3. See above. Only that page.
I'll try cleaning out cache, but I do get a refreshed page when I go to that page. (Updated with last posts, for example).
Thanks for looking at this. As my original post said, not a big problem, but an annoyance.

The page you mention above (http://www.flyertalk.com/milesfr.shtml) is actually a frameset, and not the actual page you're in... as you move around within FlyerTalk, your location is actually changing, although that isn't reflected in your location bar, since it's within that overall frame. Not that this has anything to do with the no page error...
This happens as soon as you get to http://www.flyertalk.com/milesfr.shtml, right? Or do you notice it after navigating around a little first?
Have you noticed it still, after clearing out your cache?
