Please Update S.P.A.M. List

Right now my post, AA/AOL Promo Codes (like FREESHIP), listed under S.P.A.M., has become a hotbed of debate instead of the nice thread I had hoped for.

The last posts on it are noting what is meant by "AllAdvantage" on the list of what to post under S.P.A.M. I posted the above post because I thought you meant "AOLAadvantage," being Click Rewards and such was also listed.

You will see that it was brought up what AllAdvantage was and that it no longer exists, but who cares? This post is supposed to be full of helpful code posts, not this off-putting debate.

Will you update your list so, perhaps, these posts will cease. Thanx.

Wow, a hotbed of debate? It looks to me like only a couple of people trying to help out (me included) and inform you, and others, of the genesis of "AllAdvantage." Your head would explode if you actually had been around at the end of last year to see some true "debating".

As for your second post,

All you have to do is go over to the American Airlines forum and see that they moved it to where it should have been in the first place.

I like nice, so to me it was indeed a hotbed of debate which blossomed after cactuspete tried to get its readers to go over to his thread in another area. If one had gone over to his short, quick to die thread, one would have discovered redudant and, mostly, expired codes. A waste of time, so what was his point?

I'm sorry to implicate you. It was interesting to hear an oldtimer's musings. I was just afraid all this banter would discourage anyone from posting to the thread for its intended purpose - one which had already started yeilding such helpful info.

Also, I checked out the switched thread on the AA board and it goes to error page. So, I stand by post of "some solution." It could have stayed where it was, just like other AA spam sites such as AA IGOUGO, etc. or been moved to AA, but with the ability to continue.

sorry about the confusion...

I had moved the thread to the American Forum (which also automatically locked it in the original place), but we lost our in-house interenet connection soon after, so I never got to post a link to the new location.

I don't know why it's coming up as not found, but we'll rebuild that forum shortly which _should_ fix that broken link.

You're 100% right - I just tried to click on the link and it still goes to an error page. Hopefully this can be fixed and it isn't happening each time a moderator tries to move a topic. Otherwise, all that is accomplished is that a thread is effectively closed down.

Try doing a search for AA 22/20 partners or Promo. My guess is that you would come up with several hundreds of threads, many discussing similar topics. That's one reason threads should be consolidated when possible, or moved when they are [i[]clearly[/i] placed in the wrong forum.

I do concede, however, that the S.P.A.M. definition is confusing.
