3 technical questions about the new board

3 technical questions about the new board
1) I have been on and off the board 6 or 7 times since it reopened today. I even shut my computer twice. When I return to the board every light bulb is on in every category.
2) When I go any individual topic all the folders are one color; there are no folders in a different shade telling me which have the new posts.
3) I already posted 1 reply (and had to type in my name and password as expected the first time). Now when I go to reply to another topic I am asked to retype my name and password.
Do I need to reregister or something; am I doing something wrong...?

Problem #2 is now solved, I get different color folders.
As to #1 however, every light bulb is still on on the main page, but I can live with that one.
If only my UserName and password did not have to be typed in each time I post. On the old board I did not have to do this. Any suggestions?

Ok, when I checked the board this morning which had many new posts since last night, all the folders were blue again so I can not tell which are new and which are old without looking at the posting time. Can ANYONE explain why this is happening or what I can do?

I, too, am having the same experiences regarding the light bulbs and folder colors. Sometimes I see light bulbs "on" for every forum; at other times I see no light bulbs at all. And the topic folders are always colored blue...no differentiation between threads with new posts and those without new posts has ever existed for me since the new boards went live.
Still, I really appreciate all the hard work from the FT technical team and for the support that Randy and everyone at FT has given us. Thank you...good show!

For what its worth I found out, trough trial and error, how I can make this board work for me, and offer this explanation to help anyone else who is having similar problems.
In order for FT to recognize me and show me via light bulbs and colored folders what is new each time I visit I had to set my "favorite" setting to the "Welcome to Flyer Talk Page" instead of one of the four board menu pages. When I get to the Welcome to FT page via my favorite link, I then click on any one of the four boards listed on the right side of the page: FT Miles, FT Travel, FT Dining, or FT Airports. When I do this all the light bulbs and folders work fine for that one board as long as I stay on that board. If I try to go to a second board the light bulbs and folders do not work the right way (sometimes they are all lit or none are lit or sometimes there are none) and the board does not recognize that I have been there before. In fact, there is nothing (no folder or words) on the bottom of the page where it usually says "contains new posts since last time you logged on."
But I found out that if I want to go to another board, say from FT Miles to FT Airport, the only way to get the bulbs and folders to work and to recognize that I have been here before, is to log off, go to my favorites list and click on FT which then brings me back to to the Welcome to Flyer Talk Page and then if I click on the second board, it works fine. To reach the third or fourth board and have it operate correctly requires me to log off and log on again via my favorite link to the Welcome page.
I am not computer savvy, but it seems that there should be/could be a much easier way to go between the four boards and have the bulbs and folders work properly. I have cable internet so logging off and on is super fast but in the past I used AOL (and still do occasionally at work) so I know how tedious and frustrating logging on and off can be. But if you want to view any one or up to all four boards and you want the bulbs and folders to work, you now have a way to make it so. You just have to log on and off FT from one to four times.
And yes I love the new boards too. I just wish that someone from FT would let us know if these are problems they know about, or are working on, or looking into etc.
And no matter what I try I have to enter my Username and password each time I post a new message from a different log on session. FT only remembers my username and password if I multiple post during the same log on session.
