Threads missing new posts

Hi tech ppl,

It's happening again. Threads that indicate that there are new posts, but the new posts don't show up. Here's one from The Buzz:

It is happening in the American Airline forum, too.

Thanks for the help!

In the Mileage Run forum, the thread "AA Mileage Run SJC-TPE" says the last post was 05-21-2001 07:47 PM, but when you open the thread the last post visible is mine, at 12:38 PM earlier that day. Frustrating!

Good morning everybody.

Have you tried clearing your cache? Go to the area in question, the one where the posts appear to be missing. Then hold your "shift" key down and click on your "refresh" button at the same time.

Please give that a shot and if would please return here and post your results so I know if this worked for your or not.

Thanks for your cooperation and patience in this matter.

Michael, I just tried what you suggested, to no avail. Did you check my example to see if you could see the "missing" post(s)?

This one is stuck too: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum.../003553-6.html

I've cleared my cache and refreshed. Last post I can read is at 12:37PM. The last modified on this is currently at 2:57PM.

a) This problem happens often. Has the root cause been identified?
b) Typically happens in posts with a lot of responses.

To add to what PG said,

c) It seems to be correlated to multiple posting problems. Many times the missing post(s) turn out to be multiple posts.

The multiple posts happen because the poster does not see their posted response and posts again.

Michael - has the root cause for this problem been identified?

Hi, me again.

The thread I listed above got brought forward in the Mileage Run forum, and the index syas the most recent post was 05-30-2001 12:50 PM. I opened the thread but the last post was still mine at 05-21-2001 12:38 PM. There are no edits listed since then either.

Michael/anyone-else... what's going on?
