It has probably been asked and answered before... but I cannot get the search to work!

Is there any way for a poster or Flyertalk employee to delete multiple posts? The board has so many multiple posts that it is a pain to find the true new posts.

Not to mention the fact that it takes time to download all the posts... and could get expensive when accessing from on the road.

Just wondering.

Hello wharvey & mudgal.

Please accept my apologies for having taken so long in getting back with you on this issue.

To answer your question...yes, we do delete the duplicates as we find them and are always happy to do so. Unfortunately, due to the size of the board and the sheer number of posts some of them slip by us. We depend greatly on feedback from users, such as yourself, to help us find them.

That said, if you could send me a list of the offending posts when you come accross them that would be very, very helpful.

Thank you very much for your feedback and for your patience in this matter.

Michael,

I was thinking (believe it or not) while I was travelling.

Question: Would it be possible to implement a process that does not allow a person to have two successive posts in a thread? That would take care of most of the multiple post problems we have here. If someone actually wanted to add something to their previous post, they can just edit it...

Just a thought. These multiple posts are getting really annoying... and I don't want to take the time to copy and paste them all to you.

Just a thought.
