Firewall Suggestions for chat?

Logging on to chat I receive the following message:
"DigiChat could not connect to the server. If you are connecting through a firewall or a proxy server. You may not be able to use DigiChat.
java.net.NoRouteToHostException: Operation Timed Out"

I realize that I "may not be able to use Chat", but I was wondering if there was someone who may be able to offer suggestions in troubleshooting to get me in. And if it aids, I am able to use Yahoo! MEssenger and AOL IM.

Many thanks in advance.

We'll add this to the other inquires of the same. We've yet to get a real "work-around" from our technology supplier on this, however we did just get an upgrade notice to a new version and there might be a solution waiting for us. We're sure to purchase the new version and will do a lookover of the new features to see if this is possible. Thanks so much for letting us know and we ARE sorry. We surely didn't plan it this way.

Hmm, I used to get the opposite @ my workplace: I could access FT chat but not AOL IM.

Anyone?

Hey I'm getting the same exact error message that is described, it is a few years later I realize, any updates? Any chance of getting a digichat to work through a firewall?
