Lightbulbs again

I notice that the lightbulbs have stopped working for me today (with I.E.)

Have you tried holding your shift key down while you click on the reload button on your browser? Give that a shot and let me know if that brings back the bulbs.

Sorry it was my fault. bypasscookie was set to true in the URL. I removed the bypasscookie flag.

Glad to hear that it was something easily remedied. Let me know if there is anything further I can do for you.

FWIW, I had the same problem, at about the same time - it was transient, however, having come and gone rather "mysteriously" - a relatively fancy word detailing my total ignorance with regard to what the heck may have happened!

They disappeared on me awhile ago, and, it figures, I'm not sure exactly when. Some possibilities:

- I am using IE 5.5
- I have been experimenting with blocking
in-line ads through my HOSTS file, but I
am not blocking ad-adex3.flycast.com.

Suggestions?

I think I had picked up the errant link from somewhere (could be TalkMail, but I am not sure since I deleted it).

PG, can you tell me what is the bypasscookie, and how can I set it properly - or remove it?

Look at the URL (in I.E. it is what is shown in the Address area, in Netscape it is shown in the Location area). If there is a field in the URL called bypasscookie, remove that field.

they always seem sporatic to me: sometime, I'll read one post and return to the boards only to have all bulbs out.. other times they never go out and sometimes they aren't there to begin with..

No, no real insights yet. I'm told by the programmers at InfoPop that they are working on it. I'll send them another email and let them know that they really need to get this issue addressed with more speed than they have.

Thank you for your continued patience.
