a solution if Netscape (4.72, Mac-version) is hanging
I tried this out and it works, even when my Netscape 4.72 (Mac-version) is already hanging:
Preferences, Advanced, disable Java, disable Java script
and instantly the page will load again (but you will than have to enter username and password each time when replying or posting a new thread).
