Posting times messed up?

I first noticed this on my computer at work, and now here at home. All the "Most recent post" times shown are 9:55 Am June 14, even though they are new since my last visit (about 7:30 PM or so June 14). is this my computers messing up, or is there somethign wrong with Flyertalk?

The site was down most of the day today, and I guess the clock stopped when it went down and hasn't been reset yet.

I accessed the site at various times throughout the day and didn't encounter it down, though it was slow for a while. It seems maybe each hour in elapsed time is being counted as a minute?

BTW, this was posted at 9:45 EDT.

Yes, the site is not working correctly. It is still slow this morning (0650 EDT). While it is not as slow as yesterday, it is still slow and I have tried dial up, ISDN and DSL. Also, I just posted a message and it says it was posted yesterday (today is June 15 at 0652a.) So check the post date out on this message and compare. Someone needs to fix some bugs or problems it would seem. Good luck. Perhaps the curse of Bill Gates?

Same problem here - I'm reading and postring this message on June 15 at 7h22 EST, and the "active topics" of today gives me a list of 206 threads all with post dates of June 14th....

Looks like CO is frozen in time...

Still showing all of yesterday's posts, but the bonus for me is that the power was out for several hours last evening b/c of the intense heat in the Bay Area (113 - it's intense for us) so I couldn't see a lot of the posts.

IMHO, aside from having the site up and running at all, having accurate posting times (and dates!!!) is a pretty key part of having a useable site.

june 15 - 8:10pst

Yes, really quick follow-through, just 17 minutes after the original post!

Hey, the time's back to normal!

Woohoo, way to go!

You're all very welcome. Thank you for your patience. We seemed to have had a server overload, must be all you FlyerTalk junkies, and somehow the time faltered.

Please help me keep an eye on it and email me here at mailto:[email protected][email protected]</A> if you spot any of these sorts of problems again. I will be rewriting some of the date/time/number of posts functions and that will hopefully help with some of the problems we continue to have.

Michael - it is still 'back to the future' for me.

The day has been adjusted, the minutes (and hours) don't run!

It is still fun (and a miracle) to write now and see it's posted hours (or a day) before.

Friday, june-16-2000, 0.36AM GMT+1 should be Thursday, june-15-2000, 4:36PM Colorado Springs Time. Compare with the time the poster says it was done!

As well, it appears some posts did not take, since I had thought I posted something here midday about the problems, and yet I don't see it. Thanks for the info, Michael.

Once again the clock is terribly screwed...as well as the date.

I cannot think of another site that has so many technical problems.

Is it growth? Is it a crappy server? Is it me? Is the server located in the Bermuda Triangle?
