Wednesdays Are Still TERRIBLE!

I know WebFlyer/FlyerTalk was planning an upgrade to a new server (or it has been done already), but it's still awful on Wednesdays.

The time to connect, even at fast modem speeds, is long & painfully slow. If the upgrade has been finished, from where I am it doesn't seem to have helped.

I agree, slow today, even with a DSL connection.

We have the technical release on our new server and are in the process of implementing the move, which is a massive one. Over the next week, we'll be shutting down the board and all our related sites (WebFlyer, etc.) to make the change. While I'm not sure who it looking forward to this move the most, I can assure you we are very excited to move a few steps ahead with the new server, it's really a major move for us. Keep watching.

Randy, could you WARN US when the board is going to be shut down, so we can find other things to keep busy (and so we don't go thru Flyertalk withdrawl???)

Seems better today (ie always fast) after the scheduled maintenance. Are we moved over yet?

Wednesday 10 May.... after the upgrade, I think..."The Buzz" is totally inaccessible to me. I have been able to access other forums, although they are slow.

Today is D-day. Down from noon to noon tomorrow. Let's hope slooooooooooooow sloooooooo (and repetitive posting) Wednesdays become a thing of the past.

TGIT: Thank God it's Thursday! Yesterday was about the worst Wednesday I've experienced, and the others have been pretty bad. Exceedingly slow and it was impossible to post anything until well into the evening. Let's hope the move to a new server works and resolves this problem.
