Posting Problem
I tried to post a posting in the Starwood board regarding the new membership card issue. I successfully sent out and I saw the time was updated, however, I couldn't see my posting appeared on the board as usual.

I think everyone's been noticing the double, triple, quadruple post issue. It makes for very crowded threads. Please fix this glitch as soon as possible. Giving us the power to delete our own posts would help also.

I notice this, too. It's takes a long time to post sometimes, even over my DSL connection.
It strikes me that the huge LatinPass threads take very long to post to, but other threads may not have the problem. There are so many duplicate posts there, likely because people hit "Submit" 3 or 4 times, thinking that their post didn't submit when in fact the server was just slow. If that's the case, maybe it's time to lock the LatinPass threads and start them over again.

I agree. I think the Board needs to:
1) Have some scan system for duplicate postings and delete (or allow the person that posted the item to delete themselves). Ther are often 3,4,and 5 dupl postings and when they are long (people do not go out and edit them to 1 liners), take extra effort to read, print, etc.
2) Once a topic gets to be over X (5??) pages long, lock it and start a new thead. Use same topic w/ and addition i.e. 1,000,000 Bouus Miles (thread 2). Also the 1st post in new thread could lick back to the locked one.
3) List under each Major Topic Heading how it should be used. Might help postings in proper place.

Yes. When is a thread, if ever, too long?
It seems that the milesource by davistev and perhaps the Latin Pass thread by Mileage Addict are producing multiple repeated responses.
perhaps considering closing them down and going for "II" when they reach about 500 posts and/or 20 subdivisions?
Just a thought!
