Profiles are strange! ["cover photo" and how to hide]

When I click to see someone's public profile (from the drop down menu after I click on the username to the left of a post), I almost always get a strange result: The font size is tiny (wider than normal FT pages) and things look disproportionately widened and flattened. More importantly, there's a big gray box toward the upper left that takes up a lot of the space on the page and says "Cover Photo" in big lettering.

I first noticed this within about the last 24 hours and it seems to be the same phenomenon for a random group of FT members I checked who have posted recently (during this period). However, when I clicked on a senior moderator, the profile page didn't have this problem.

ADDED: When I look at my own profile, I see a box inviting me to "upload a cover photo."

ADDED AGAIN: Upon further experimentation, JDiver's profile shows the big gray "Cover Phono" box but to the left just below it (with some overhang), there's a small photo, just a bit over an inch square on my ipad screen. By contrast, the big gray box is about the same size as this edit box I'm using how but flush against the left margin on the profile page, so maybe six inches wide and almost four inches tall. (Sorry for those who prefer the metric system.)

YET AGAIN: Moderator2's public profile page just has a big white space where the gray "Cover Photo" box appears on other profiles I've seen.

ONCE MORE: IBobi's photo seems to appear where it should be, taking up the space where I'm seeing the gray boxes. However, I wonder whether the photos are meant to be so wide.

The cover photo option was added to the profiles when the hotel reviews section went live in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/luxury-hotels-220/ earlier this month.

Profiles now become so unfriendly to the eyes...

Yes, they are humongous and the presentation annoying!!

But the HUGE cover photo section didn't go alive untill the last 12 hours or so. It wasn't so painful when I checked out those jpg spammers' profiles yesterday. Today, it was hugely unreadable!

Can IB do something to make this newly added "feature" more eyeball friendly?
