How private are Private Messages on here?

How private are Private Messages on here?
How private are Private Messages on here? Do admins have the ability to read them?

Yes, vbulletin allows admins/allowed users to read through a modification, or the database admin can read it as well. So the ability is there -- whether its actually done is a different story
