Recent Forum Changes
When I logged on today I found the drop down on the right of the Forum Home page that let me see My Threads and follow discussions I had posted in was gone. It has been replaced with an Open Contacts Pop Up. I used to start my FT browsing by reviewing these at each log on but now I cannot find any record to help me. Any suggestions as to how to track such threads going forwards or even retrieve my previous list?

Why don't you just use MyFlyertalk? It's a whole lot easier than going from thread to thread using a dropdown box.

Thanks. It seems ( although I am unfamiliar with it TBH ) that threads will only appear in My FlyerTalk if I actually subscribe to them. The previous threads that I had posted in automatically appeared under a single drop down called My Threads and I had only to post to them for them to appear ( ie not to take the extra step of subscribing).
The other advantage was that if there was recent activity in a thread it came to the top of the My Threads list, whereas on the subscribed threads I have I have never noticed that.
I can certainly subscribe to threads going forwards but it has just added an extra step, and reduced ease of use from my narrow perspective. I understand there were probably good reasons to do so and that when I get used to the process it may be just as easy but so far it is anything but. IMHO at least.

When you post to a thread, you're automatically subscribed. If it doesn't appear in Myflyertalk it means there is no new activity since you posted.

Oh. That makes sense. Is that new though because when I go to my list of subscribed threads only those that I have actively subscribed to have ever appeared? Mind you I have never used the My Flyertalk feature before.

Didn't you see them?
1). From your own Profile Page:
Under the "Statistics" tab, you can view both of your posts and threads you OPed.
2). From any of the posts you've made in any given thread:
Left Click your FT handle, you'll see another dropdown menu, the 3rd option being "Find More Posts by Fizzer", where you get to see all your posts.
Not always true if the users have made changes to their "Settings & Options."
Speaking for myself, I am not automatically subscribed to threads I ever reply to.

Basically, MyFlyertalk will show you any and all subscribed threads with new activity since you last opened the thread.

They have reappeared.Earlier there were a whole new lot of links. This is great bbecause I have now found that by posting in a thread it did not appear in subscribed threads. I don't think I've ever changed any settings so who know what is going on.
I am also on a different PC at the moment but whatever the cause the pages now appear as they always have.

My threads is indeed a nice function to have, I don't like the auto subscribe feature... in case you can't find it just use this link instead:

Are you sure about that? I know Milepoint will automatically subscribe you to any thread you post in, but haven't noticed that on FT using My FlyerTalk. I only get the threads I manually subscribe to. I can think of a number of threads I've posted to this week on both the AA and UA forums that have been very busy and don't appear in My FlyerTalk. A few of those are on the front page of the AA forum with activity since I was last on line last night. I have not been automatically subscribed to any of them.

well mine do.
Perhaps way-back-when I set it up to automatically subscribe me to threads I post to.
OR, it was the default, and now it's been changed.

I checked the settings area and there is one to automatically subscribe to anything you post in. Mine is set to not subscribe automatically. I don't know what new users are presented with these days--whether it's automatic or not to get subscribed. Didn't even know that setting was there until you mentioned it.

It's a great feature. Perhaps I turned it on when we got the new board software years ago and completely forgot I did so
