Question I'm not getting thread updates via email

I'm subscribed to some threads but I'm not getting email updates. I have gmail. Is this a known problem?

Yes. The best you can do right now is be sure your email address is up to date, you check your spam/junk folder, and your ISP is not blocking flyertalk emails.

Thanks for the reply. I've checked my spam folder but there's nothing there either. I don't think my ISP can block what comes to my gmail account.

It's happened again I'm not getting e-mail updates. Why does this keep happening?

Same problem here starting about 12 hours ago it seems. It has nothing to do with my ISP (gmail), nor spam filters. It seems the servers here are having issues. Is it load or a config problem?

Are you not receiving the "instant email" notifications for new posts or Daily / Weekly digest emails?

Thank you

It is the instant notification ones. For around 12 hours or so I received none, then a few started trickling in. I got more last night, but I'm still not receiving 100% of these. Is there some kind of update going on?

I'm still having problems with the daily e-mail thread updates. This morning I got one with stimpy's reply above but I didn't get the two posts prior to that.

I get them intermittently as well for both instant and daily updates. For some threads I never get updates. Others, nothing for days despite the thread getting new posts then out of the blue one will appear. It is not a spam block issue.

This is still a problem for me. Thread subscription updates are come and go. Is anyone investigating this, and do you plan to resolve it anytime soon? Thanks

Thanks for the update. Question - when you say subscription updates, do you mean instant post notifications specifically?

It's been years since the forum updates have worked for me. I guess it is a lost cause?

Question for those not receiving subscription updates (and fwiw, I do not subscribe to e-mail updates but thought I'd share this)

Are your subscriptions dropping after you have made a post to the subscribed thread via the mobile iPhone app? The reason I ask is that every time I post to a subscribed thread via the iPhone app, the subscription to that thread instantly drops after posting-and this has been going on for me for quite some time

No, I mean daily thread subscriptions, not instant. Most of my thread subscriptions are daily except that two were listed as type "none" but I don't know why and I changed to daily.

Not for me. I use Firefox on Windows 7 almost exclusively and I don't access the site via mobile apps.
