Subscribing to threads. Fix dropdown menu

Can we please fix the dropdown menu to show if a thread has been subscribed to or not?

Even after subscribing, it still shows "Subscribe to this thread" when it should say "Unsubscribe from this thread".

That may be a cookie issue; if you refresh your browser, log out & back in, does it still say "subscribe"?

Yes. That was the FIRST thing I did just to make sure it wasn't an issue on my end.

No matter whether I'm subscribed to the thread or not, I just see -

I've always had this problem forever too (showing Subscribe in dropdown all the time), and I just gave up on it

I'm surprised it doesn't work on a pretty-stock vB forum

At least RFD works perfectly :P

That menu option has always showed only "Subscribe to this Thread," even if you are already subscribed.

The method to unsubscribe from a thread is not intuitive at all. As far as I can tell, you have to actually go into MyFT and list your subscriptions and then start paging through the different pages to find the thread you want to unsubscribe from, at which point you can click "unsubscribe." (It's easier if it's been recently replied to, as it'll be near the top of your list of subscriptions.)

Exactly, and I consider that a BUG, not a FEATURE or DESIGN, as all vBB forum use the expected Subscribe/Unsubscribe in the dropdown correctly

I can only unsubscribe via My FlyerTalk, or from the direct link at email subscription bottom section

This should be working now; but will have to be turned off again if we find that it's slowing forum performance.
