New FlyerTalk header
Hi all,
Just a heads up that the new FlyerTalk header will begin appearing on 12/3/2012!
The header will be exactly as it is on the new home page at www.flyertalk.com and will appear across all of FlyerTalk, with the new navigation options, integrated search bar, etc.
Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

I didn't know where to post comments on the update, but I thought I'd start here. Feel free to move this post if it doesn't belong.
While the new header looks great on the homepage, I can't say I like how it integrates with the rest of the forum. The turquoise theme of the header just doesn't look that great alongside the blue theme of the forum. I like the header and I think the blue theme of vBulletin is decent but put alongside each other, they look rather horrible.

I'm concerned about the white space on the right and smaller font size for posts that the new header seems to have created.

The "My FlyerTalk" bug has gotten smaller, too much so. For some of us, it's a primary (and convenient) navigational shortcut. It's also pushed too far to the right.
The new graphics are a mild improvement. Previous banner had a dated Jetsons-era look to it. However, functionality ueber alles, and you've damaged that unnecessarily -- see previous paragraph -- so I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
