Any update on this issue? Very time consuming having to delete the quotes each time I want to respond to a post.
And, seems like many people are choosing to not take the time to do that.... noticing more quoted posts lately.

As an example, I just pressed the quick reply button and this is what I got. A quote of your post and I was brought to the reply box. I've tested it several times.
I'm on IE8 on my home computer. It doesn't ever happen on IE7, and never has.
I just noticed that in the left hand side, in the medium blue section, it says "reply to thread" rather than "quick reply"

It is for me! In fact I had gotten so used to having the quote thing happen & having to delete it before actually replying that it took me a couple of times before I realized that I didn't have to do that/quick reply was working properly again.
